The most popular post on my blog so far is my Plume Vs Castor Oil Experiment (click here to check it out). As I mentioned in that post, I tried Latisse before my wedding in 2016 and was blown away with the results. My natural lashes looked amazing! It requires an Rx though, was expensive, and I had some slight side effects like eyelid darkening on my lashline and my lashes actually got a little too long and began looking unruly.

And finally, my lip product inventory! For years I rarely placed an online order or walked out of a store without some kind of lip balm or gloss in my bag. I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect product, and this is the category where I’m the pickiest. It has to be the right texture, shade, scent, taste, packaging, ingredients, and so much more.

I did finally find my holy grail lip balm but it was discontinued last year ?. I also had a favorite lip color in high school, and though its perfection is probably exaggerated in my memory, I don’t think I’ve found something lately that I love as much. After doing this inventory though, I realized that I’ve got so many pretty products, so I’m interested to see if any of them will get more use and/or warrant a repurchase when the year is up. Here we go!

Next, palettes! This is probably the most fun (and most complicated) category. I love palettes for variety, design, & portability, but it’s rare to find a palette where you use all of the products evenly. I’m interested to see not only which palettes I reach for most often this year, but also which colors within the palettes will be most used. Here’s what I have:

This might be my favorite category because I think face color really brings my complexion to life and it can be used in so many subtle ways! Blush can help us look youthful, bronzer & contour add dimension, and highlight done right can give skin the healthiest looking glow. Here’s what I’m working with for now:

My final gift guide this year and it’s officially December! All of these guides are technically for everyone, but this is a list of things that could have been included in both the him and her guides. I would truly feel comfortable giving these to men or women, people super close to me (like my husband or sister), or less familiar recipients (like colleagues or secret Santas, etc.). You might think that the body wash/lotion and lip balm seem kind of personal, but trust me when I say that these are so good that even your kid’s teacher or your work friend would be happy to receive them!

The men we love are sometimes notoriously difficult to buy for. I asked Rob for help with this cover image, and I was so happy that he genuinely seemed excited by most of the things on this list! I know not all guys are into only tools or technology or skincare, so I really added a mix here and am sure you’ll find at least a few things the men (and boys!) in your life will love.

My gift guides “for her” are always basically a wish list for myself, haha. I do already own the last three items on this list, but everything else would make me super excited to find under my tree this year (and honestly, I’d eagerly take multiples of #s 9 & 10). Happy shopping!
